PoScout Apply Assistant

Privacy policy

Last updated: July 12, 2026

What the extension does

The PoScout Apply Assistant fills job application forms with information you have saved in your PoScout account: your profile details, and the resume and cover letter generated for the job you are applying to. It acts only when you click “Fill this step”, and it never submits an application on your behalf.

Data the extension accesses

Form structure on application pages. When you ask the assistant to fill a page, it reads the visible form fields (labels, field names, options) of that page so PoScout can decide which saved value belongs in which field. Pages are scanned only on job application sites you are viewing, and only while you use the assistant.

Your PoScout data. The assistant fetches your saved profile, tailored documents, and previously saved answers from PoScout over an encrypted connection, using a revocable access token created when you connect the extension from a signed-in PoScout tab. The extension never sees or stores your PoScout password.

Page address and title. The current tab's address and title are sent to PoScout to match the page to one of your saved jobs and to record your application activity in your own account.

What is stored, and where

The extension stores your access token and connection settings in Chrome extension storage on your device. Application progress (steps filled, questions that needed your input, answers you chose to save) is stored in your PoScout account so you can track applications and reuse answers.

Field contents from application forms are processed to build the fill plan and are not sold, shared with third parties, or used for advertising. Unresolved, non-sensitive fields may be processed by an AI model under PoScout's contracts with its AI providers solely to suggest an answer; sensitive fields (such as demographic, salary, or government-ID questions) are excluded from AI processing.

What the extension does not do

It does not read pages in the background, does not collect browsing history, does not track you across sites, does not inject ads, and does not sell data. It does not fill password fields and does not click final submit buttons.

Your controls

You can disconnect the extension at any time by revoking its token from your PoScout account settings or by uninstalling the extension. Removing the extension deletes its locally stored settings. Data stored in your PoScout account is governed by the PoScout privacy policy and can be deleted with your account.
